McCarty PhotoWorks News • 1 2 3 >> 2.14.06 - MTV Overground #3 + Swear to Save CBGB's Valentines Day and Toy Fair bring two awesome events in NYC where Brian will be showing work...and having some beers. MTV Overground #3 is a brand-new volume dedicated to Designer Toys written by STRANGEco Founders Gregory Blum and Jim Crawford. It features interviews from influential people in the designer toy biz as well as coverage of over 500 toys through 300+ images. The official launch party is at The Showroom NYC gallery from 7 to 10PM on 2/14. Swear to Save CBGBs is a benefit featuring the work of 150 musicians and artists, all come together to keep CBGBs in its original Bowery home. Opening reception at CB's 313 Gallery starts at 6pm on 2/14.
>> 1.1.06 - Southwest Pet Detective If you find yourself on a Southwest Airlines flight this month, be sure to check out their in-flight magazine Spirit. We had a lot of fun working with the amazing crew there to illustrate a story on lost pets.

>> 10.17.05 Attack of the Show Attaboy and Annie Owens of Hi Frutcose Magazine were interviewed yesterday on the G4 network program Attack of the Show. They made Brian blush by saying some very nice things about his work. In case you missed it, you can see highlights here.

>> 06.20.05 Hi Fructose Hits Stands The inaugural issue of Hi Fructose magazine hits stands this week. Brian's work is featured on the cover, and an interview with him is inside.
>> 06.15.05 San Diego Comic Con Appearances and Special Print Edition! Brian has two separate signings scheduled for this year's San Diego Comic Con. The first is with Circus Punks at their booth on Friday the 15th @ 5pm. A limited edition of 100 giclée prints of "Gama-Go Yeti Punk" will be available at the CP booth throughout the convention! Next is a signing for Hi Fructose magazine in the Tower Records Pavillion, Saturday the 16th @ 2pm!
>> 06.03.05 Hi Fructose + [adult swim] We've teamed up with Hi Fructose magazine and Cartoon Network's [adult swim] for a Las Vegas roadtrip. Photos will appear in the next issue of the magazine as well as during "bumps" on-air starting Sunday June 12th. You can see a sneak peek in the latest ePostcard.
>> 05.01.05 - Wired plugs upcoming launch of Hi Fructose Check out the May issue of Wired Magazine for a preliminary review of the upcoming Hi Fructose magazine. It's complete with our shot of Axtrx at a picnic.

>> 02.05.05 McCarty PhotoWorks Honey-B Figure!!! The super limited edition of 50 Honey-B figures with our logo have arrived. Wootini will be selling ten around the upcoming show, and the rest are going to select friends of the studio.

Allison, Attaboy, Danielle Barnett, Bigfoot, Brian McCarty, Brin Berliner, Steve Berliner, Cir, Circus Punks, Damon Soule, Friends With You, Jeremy Fish, Mars-1, Mikas Mogo, Roy Miles, NoMe, Jermanine Rodgers, Romanowski, Gonzo, SEEN World, and Super Fun Company.
Also, Brian has some work up at the China Town art-toy gallery Munky King. It's definitely worth checking out!
>> 10.20.2004 - Vespa Va Vroom! + VINYL WILL KILL! The lastest ePostcard is out, and it features a fun blend of mod and lucha. There's also a sneak peek of VINYL WILL KILL! Published by IdN, VINYL WILL KILL! is an insider's look at the renaissance of toy design happening now. Through one-on-one interviews, the book explores the working processes of some of the most successful designers and artists in the world today. I'm more than honored that IdN and DESIGN Lab / Jeremyville invited me to participate.
