characters had babies and actually died was amazing! It was so real in
fact, that parent groups demanded that the series be taken off of the
local TV station's line up. I'm still pissed about it to this day.

Have you ever seen any Polish cartoons/animated toys films?
I lived in a polish neighborhood in Brooklyn...actually it was a bizarre
mix of Polish and Puerto Rican, but that is a longer story. Anyway, in
the video rental stores, they had amazing sections of Polish animated
films, so I got a chance to see a lot of unbelievable work!! Everything
from thinly veiled political commentary done in the 60's to the work of
Piotr Dumala, I'm definitely a fan.

Barbie or Jadde?
After years at Mattel, I have a special place in my heart for Barbie (read
that however you want). Regardless, Jadde rocks! I have a thing for women
with dark features. She is still a caricature of a woman and lacking human
imperfections that bring true physical beauty, but I'll give the company
credit that makes her for being brave enough to at least let her have
nipples! Apparently with Barbie, women aren't supposed to be real at all.

How do you reckon the toys of the future will/should look?
Hmm, I think we are at a big crossroads, so it's hard to say. Artists
are taking toys and using them as a medium of personal and cultural expression.
Large toy companies...
